Throughout the course of the Boston Overflight Noise Study (Phase 1) and now the Boston Logan Airport Noise Study (Phase 2), there has been a considerable amount of information and opinion exchanged between study stakeholders, including the members of the Community Advisory Committee (CAC), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) staff, Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) managers, elected officials, and the consultant teams. Much of this mutually beneficial exchange of ideas has occurred during the numerous CAC and Boston Technical Advisory Committee (BOS/TAC) meetings, as well as at other public information sessions.

One strong and frequently stated desire has been to continue the exchange of information beyond the timeframe of a regular committee meeting. The BLANS Information Forum has been set up to allow memebrs to post technical questions and gain access to reports developed by the consultant teams.

Members of BOS/TAC and CAC will be provided with a username and password in order to access the forum. Members will have to first agree to the terms and conditions of the forum. Participants are invited to ask questions of a technical nature and make posts. The intended purpose of the forum is strictly to share information and not for discussion purposes. The forum moderator reserves the right to remove any content that does not conform to the forum terms and conditions.

Although the BLANS Information Forum continues to accept information by members of BOS/TAC and CAC only, the general public can inquire about or comment on the Boston Logan Airport Noise Study by either contacting their respective community's CAC representative or by accessing the FAA comments website at the following link.
