The Boston Technical Advisory Committee (BOS/TAC) was formed specifically for this study to ensure a collaborative effort of key stakeholders. Three entities form the client group for the BOS/TAC: FAA, CAC and Massport. Communications and coordination is key to the success of this study. A Project Administration Team, made up of one member from each of the three client groups, confers weekly with the consultants regarding progress on the study.
The BOS/TAC serves as the primary decision making body for this study. It meets at key milestones throughout the study to review progress and provide input and direction, as needed. The membership of the BOS/TAC is shown in the illustration below. In addition to representatives from the three client groups, the BOS/TAC also includes representative of primary airport users and advisors to the CAC. Notes and presentations from BOS/TAC meetings can be found on the
BOS/TAC Meetings page of this website.
FAA Evaluation Team
The FAA also has assembled an evaluation team to provide technical review of the alternatives being considered by the BOS/TAC. The key purpose of the FAA Evaluation Team is to ensure that any proposal being considered by the BOS/TAC is both safe and operationally feasible.
